The Year at a Glance

Farm Expansion

I’m more than doubling the varieties of plants I’m growing this year, and over half of the field will now be dedicated to perennial production! This is exciting, because perennials help improve soil structure, provide winter habitat for bees, and sequester more carbon than annual plants.

I’m also focusing on botanicals that are hard to find locally, and are generally shipped from overseas, such as ginger, black goji berry, and patchouli. Some unique aromatics are also thrown in the mix, like scented geraniums and lemon verbena!

Product Development

The last two years were spent honing my farming skills, and I’m confident in how I grow and process quality botanicals. Now I feel it’s time to elevate the apothecary.

This year, I’m dedicating less time into single ingredients for sale (still available upon request), and more into what feeds my spirit: unique tea blends, perfume, and regenerative art.

I am refining my extraction techniques for perfume materials, and want to develop a deeper relationship to the scent of individual botanicals. To celebrate this connection, I will be offering small quantities of soliflore (single note) perfumes, so you can explore the scents like narcissus, lilac, mock orange, and poplar bud with me!

This is a time of growth and discovery; there may be growing pains, but I’m excited for the journey!

Markets

I’ve made the hard decision to limit the amount of in-person markets I’m attending this year so I can focus my efforts on product expansion and emerging into retail spaces.

My full schedule can be found here, though fall and winter markets may be added at a later date!

A selection of my products can still be found on my website, or in Northfield at Tinta Sagrada and Verbena Vinyl.
